Hana is amazing! I can’t thank her enough for the fabulous job she did in planning and coordinating my baby shower. She arranged an amazing photographer and caterer as well. Every detail was perfect and beautiful! The baby shower took place in my building’s community room and she was able to transform the plain space into a gorgeous venue. I was in shock!. My guests are still talking about the event to this day! So grateful for the wonderful memories she created for me and my baby girl.

I hired Venus Event Design for help in planning my wedding this past June. Hana, the owner and wedding coordinator, one of the most organized people I know who can be trusted to cover all the bases, she’s also very conscientious in everything she does, and very pleasant to work with.
We had less than 6 months to plan my wedding (for 200 guests) and with all the added details that Hana recommended, our wedding was beautiful, on schedule, and felt intimate. More importantly it was all kept within budget (which she respected) and she did an amazing job making all my concepts come together with flair.
Since I had so much going on in my life, Hana created a personalized week by week checklist of what I need to do prior to my wedding date and followed up with me regularly to make sure I created a guest list, bought my dress, sent invitations on time, etc. When we were looking around for musicians and bands, she took time out of her evenings to come along with us and asked them important questions that I didn’t even think of. She went above and beyond what was excepted!
Hana is so many wonderful things and absolutely a good investment in ensuring your event is a success. I’ve recommended her to everyone and will definitely get her on board for my next small and big party!

I volunteered to have the company Christmas party at my house this last December and Hana volunteered her company, Venus Event Design to transform my home for the event. From beginning to end Hana was the epitome of professionalism and grace. She worked around my schedule sometimes making multiple trips to my home in a day with different vendors to evaluate the back yard, always taking care not to disturb or disrupt my schedule.
She is a fierce negotiator and was always able to stretch every dollar to its limit. She wisely chose to tent my entire yard in case of rain (which it did on party day!) produced an elegant venue replete with decorations, candles, tables, and displays of her own unique creation. She turned ordinary glass vases and christmas lights into brilliant table decorations, and wrapped empty boxes in holiday wrapping to create a colorful base for our potluck dishes. She put together a program of music, dance, entertainment, and Santa arriving for the kids in a sports-car through the back gate to give presents to the children. Her friends and colleagues were ultimate professionals working as bartenders, greeters, Santa, and we had our own DJ. My backyard was a combination of an opulent dinner party, chic Hollywood bar, and dance club rolled into one. At the end of the party she presented me with a beautiful framed wall hanging with photos of my four dogs that she had taken with her fancy camera. She spent many days at my house while I was away working on the party amongst my pack of dogs!
After the party she made sure I didn’t have any unnecessary clean up and offered to return when the company came to take down the tent – supervising everything to the end. Hana has a true gift with design, with people, with negotiating, and always with a smile and a cheerful attitude. I would trust Hana with any celebration big or small – she does it all!

Hana coordinated my friend’s wedding and she did a fantastic job! Being a guest at the wedding, I felt like everything went so smoothly. Every detail was perfect, the decorations, flowers, schedule of event etc… just flowed so well. The wedding was gorgeous, and being that there were a lot of guests, it still felt very cozy. I would definitely recommend her to friends and use her in the future for my own parties. My friend (the bride) was also very happy with her… which is the most important thing! I wish she was doing planning back when I got married, I would have definitely loved to have worked with her and have her help design my wedding!

Where do I begin with my review for Hana, owner of Venus Event Design!? To put it simply, she made our dream wedding a reality. From the minute we were introduced, we knew we were in good hands as Hana was warm and friendly from the get-go. From the start, she was interested in getting to know my fiancée and I and our story so that she could help build upon the vision we had for our special day.
After Hana helped me hone in on the true aesthetic for our event (as I was an overly Pinterestly active bride and had ideas jumping all over the place…) she connected me with multiple vendors that were a fit for the vibe as well as for our budget so that we could then decide who was the best option.
A little background on the aesthetic Hana helped me fine tune — we did an all outdoor wedding at a vineyard. EVERYTHING needed to be coordinated, nothing was included with the venue rental so Hana was extremely helpful seeing as we had to source everything from the basic rentals (chairs/tables/glassware), to more design based pieces like vintage furniture. Hana kept myself and my mom at ease as the wedding day approached as she was meticulously organized, calm and collected and had all bases covered that we would have never thought of had we gone it alone to organize the wedding ourselves.
With so many moving pieces going into the day and so many vendors involved, Hana served as an amazing liaison as my family and I didn’t know how to handle the “hard conversations” regarding negotiations with quotes, when contracts seemed a bit fuzzy or any general bump in the road (let’s be real, it’s inevitable to hit a few when you’ve been planning a wedding for over a year like me!)
I could go on and on, but to sum it up, Hana is so sweet, she made herself available on email and phone far more than any other planner’s packages I’d previously seen, she’s tough as nails with vendors so we were sure to get the best pricing possible and she knows her stuff!! We literally couldn’t have done it without her!

Hana exceeded all expectations! We brought Hana on board late in our planning (about 6 months before the wedding) to help in securing a few more vendors we needed and for the month-of. Once on board, Hana quickly helped to negotiate and secure the DJ and cake/dessert vendors. Also, she gladly took initiative to immediately take over communication with ALL of our vendors. Wow, what great help (and relief) that was!!!
Our wedding was outdoors at a private residence in Malibu, CA and it involved a very unique process, which included specific venue guidelines and restrictions along with working with specific vendors required by the venue. All of this entailed an abundance of time and effort on her part and she took on the tasks like a trooper. Her execution leading into the day-of to meet the venue’s expectations was superb. She also helped in further negotiations with the venue’s catering, which saved us a bundle! Even the owner of the venue grew to love Hana and her work.
There’s many aspects that sets her apart from other wedding coordinators/planners, but one that out shines is that she is genuinely passionate about weddings and what she does. You can see that reflect in her work and work style. She has a very calm and poised demeanor and all vendors enjoy working with her. More importantly, my husband and I LOVED working with her. Even when times felt a bit stressful, Hana’s great energy helped to ease the mood. I was an organized bride, but Hana’s very well organized so it was quite easy to put the trust in her from the beginning. She was amazing in addressing any questions or concerns very promptly. She was easily accessible and kept us well informed about our vendors. AND… Hana has a keen eye for design. Her taste and style is elegant, classy, and timeless. She helped so much in our design decisions to create the rustic-vintage-chic theme. It was on point!
Our venue’s logistics and property setting was very challenging because the grounds has multiple levels (and a heat wave happen to pass through L.A. that day) and her team did a heck of a job with those circumstances. Like I mentioned, her execution exceeded all expectations leading into and on the day-of. Her team took on all responsibilities and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the wedding day. I can’t tell you how grateful we are to be have been able to enjoy the big day because of it. I may be biased, but it truly was perfect and the “best day ever!”
We couldn’t have been happier with Hana! If I could do it all over again, there’s no doubt that Hana would be the first to call upon… from the start.

Let’s start by saying that she is one detailed coordinator!!! Large events like weddings have so many moving parts. There are various vendors involved and she did a great job making sure that everyone was on the same page.
Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. She had several events going on at the time but was always available to answer our questions. She responds quickly and we were impressed with the many creative solutions she came up with whenever there was an issue.

My fiancé and I were introduced to Hana by one of her previous clients, a friend of ours. We went to their wedding and were blown away with how beautiful everything was, the attention to detail and how smooth everything went. We were so excited to meet with Hana and start planning our special day.
I am not your typical bride and did not have grand visions of what I wanted for my wedding. I was also extremely overwhelmed by all the decisions to make. I knew the basic colors, flowers and location but that’s about it. From the very first meeting and every conversation after, Hana made sure she really got to know us so she could help execute the best wedding for us. On top of her amazing organization, she had so many classy creative ideas on ways to personalize our wedding that I would have never thought of on my own. We were blown away with how beautiful everything looked and all of our guests were so impressed with the personal touches.

My then-fiancé and now husband hired Hana as our ‘month of coordinator.’ When we first met with Hana, we immediately felt comfortable, relaxed and confident in her. We shared our thoughts and ideas and Hana shared her expertise and advice.
